    Setting default Issue visibility?

I am trying to set up a project using Project Groups only. I need to know how to set default visibility when creating an issue. I have decided that a member of the project group 'External Users' (eg a customer representative) will not be allowed to choose degree of visibility when creating an issue. The default level of visibility should then be set to the project group 'All' whenever the external user creates an issue.

Internal Users (eg project members), on the other hand, will be able to choose degree of visibility. But the possible groups to choose from displayed in the visibility dropdown list should only include project groups (ie no global groups). Is there a way to exclude global groups from this dropdown list and also have a default project group set in the list?

Finally, I have the same questions regarding creating a comment. An external user will not have the visibility choice presented when creating a comment. Therefore, the project group 'All' should be set as the one used. Internal users should only be presented project groups in the list and also have a default group set.

Thanks in advance for a quick answer!

Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment. It is on the list for 3.1: http://gemini.countersoft.com/Default.aspx?p=2&i=1783

    Re: Setting default Issue visibility?

Ok, so the possibility to set a default value on issue visibility other than Everyone will be a feature in Gemini 3.1. Will this possibility to set an arbitrary default value on visibility also be applied to comments in the 3.1 version of Gemini?

What about being able to define what groups are to be displayed in the visbility dropdown list both in the case of creating an issue and creating a comment? I would, for instance like to exclude global groups from the list since only project groups are to be used.

When is Gemini 3.1 scheduled for release, by the way?

    Thanks in advance,

    Re: Setting default Issue visibility?

Yes, the visiblity default will apply to comments as well. We do not have plan to define which groups will be shown but feel free to add it to our list: http://gemini.countersoft.com

    3.1 is scheduled for October.
