Can't login using Windows Authentication over VPN

Using 3.6.0.2543 time tracker attempting to connect to 3.6.3.2590. We use windows authentication for user validation.
At work I can log in fine, since I use my network username/password to login to my workstation. At home, when I try to login over our VPN connection it looks like it's using the wrong username (it's using the local machine username and not the username from my VPN connection).
I can access Gemini fine using the web interface over VPN - it correctly prompts for my username and password and accepts the workgroup.
The time tracker will not allow an empty username, nor does it seem to allow me to enter anything after it attempts to login.
Is there any way to convince time track to allow me to enter my correct network credentials? I've tried various combinations without success.

Unfortunately, the add-ons will not work with VPN and windows authentication.

So how would you recommend setting up the Gemini server to allow VPN access for these tools? Is there a way to setup both windows authentication and another security setup that will allow access?

Yes, create another site that will use Forms authentication with the connection string pointing to the same database. That way you can have users who use VPN using the Forms site to log in.
