I have a security scheme where a Project Group (Developers) has "Issue Administration" rights to a project. Everything works great except they can't update the Status by clicking the Status on the left side of the Issue Details page. They can only update the Status by creating a new comment.
They can update Priority and Severity using the inline editing, but not Status. Why not? I can edit it as the Project Administrator...it works fine.
Am I missing something?

Please check the "Edit mode" field visibility scheme for the issue type.
Make sure these users can see the "status" field.

Yep, that was it. Thank you. That also answered my next question, which was "I created a custom field and chose it as a column in the Issues List, but it doesn't show up". This problem was also with a visibility scheme.
