I am running Gemini 3.5.2 and using SchedulerService on IIS7 on w2k8 server.
It stops sending out email alerts intermittently and after I restarted the Scheduler it sends out duplicate emails for the same alert.
Why did scheduler not working in the first place and can sending out duplicate email alerts be avoided?

Please make sure that you have enabled all verbs for the ASHX file handler in IIS for Gemini site.

Check the windows application error log (event viewer).
