    Editor

    Hello,

I'm evaluating Gemini (with the limited free version) and I have a problem. When I create an issue, the Description is not enabled (there is no editor at all).

If I change from Rad Editor Control to Text box in the administration issues params, it's ok, there is a simple text box. How can I enable the rich editor "Rad Editor Control" ?

Something else. Il would like to try the Gemini desktop app (because I think we will use this tools). Is looks like I cannot login with the Gemini desktop. Is it normal with the free version ? In this case, how could I try the Gemini desktop program ?

    Thank you.

    Jean

    Re: Editor

Please try to add the Gemini site to your trusted locations. Seems like your browser does not allow the java script of the editor to run.

The desktop app should work, please download and install DebugView from here-  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896647.aspx
Run it along with the desktop app and post the output.

    Thank you for your answer.

I tried to add the gemini to the trusted sites. It's not really better.

Here is the log made with DebugView when trying to log  with Gemini Desktop :

Ok, I see a path problem... but  ?

I'm using Windows Vista and IIS7 is on the same computer. UAC is activated and I know that "Program files" is virtualized (the virtual directory in IIS is in "C:\Program Files\CounterSoft\CounterSoft Gemini Issue Tracker"). Could it be the reason ?

    Re: Editor

    Hi Jean.

Please login to Gemini Desktop in 'online' mode, download your issues and then re-login in offline mode. If the issue still persists, send us debug view output and login screenshots.

Regarding text editor issue, have you tried using a different browser?

With the Gemini desktop, it's impossible to login.

The login dialog shows red icons on the textbox right : Incorrect username and/or password.
Of course, if I try the same login/password using the web interface, it's ok.

    Re: Editor

Can you please try the editor on our site: http://gemini.countersoft.com?

As for the desktop error, it seems like the URL is wrong. Is Gemini installed on the same machine?

    Re: Editor

If I try gemini on your site, it works : http://jean.lacoste.free.fr/editor_ok.jpg
With the same browser on my local gemini, it doesn't : http://jean.lacoste.free.fr/editor_bad.jpg

As you can see on this screen : http://jean.lacoste.free.fr/gemini_desktop.jpg
the url I use is the same as the one used with the web interface.

    Re: Editor

Which version of Gemini are you running? If not 3.5.1 then can you please upgrade?

    Re: Editor

    Hello,

The version I use is : Gemini 3.5.1 (Build 2365)

I use IIS7 on vista pro. Could it be an install problem ? In fact, I had to add asmx mapping. Don't know why...

    Re: Editor

Yes, it is a setup issue 100% as we have it here running on the same setup and on win 2008.

Are you able to install on another server?
